Yep, Fallen Angel's got a new toy!  G.T.'s happydance smiley It's the totally gorgeous Sony Ericsson K810i.

As usual it features a fair amount of neon blue goodness, and thanks to a USB cable and my previously edited with Audacity ringtones from my last phone, I've got my favourite Faithless tracks as ringtones on it without any of that tedious downloading some soundalike (not) at ridiculous prices, and it's now set up just how I like it. Okay, so I tend to use my mobile more for texting rather than talking, but as my bag just seems to get heavier and heavier with all the gadgets, it made sense to combine them into one, at least for day to day use.

Features:
Camera
    * Auto focus, BestPic™ 3.2-megapixel, Digital zoom 16x, Image stabiliser, Picture blogging, Red-eye reduction, Video record, Video stabiliser, Xenon flash
Music
    * Media Player, radio, Music tones, PlayNow, Track ID
Internet
    * RSS feeds, WAP 2.0 XHTML web browser (I'll probably install Opera Mini though)
Entertainment
    * 3D games, Java, Radio, Video streaming, Video viewing
Connectivity
    * Bluetooth, Infrared port, Modem, PC Synchronisation, USB mass storage (uses M2 memory stick), USB support
Messaging
    * Email, MMS, Predictive text input, sound recorder, SMS
Communication
    * Polyphonic ringtones/MP3 ringtones, Speakerphone, Vibrating Alert
Organiser
    * Alarm clock, Calculator, Calendar, Contacts, Notes, Phone book, Stopwatch, Tasks, Timer

Still trying out all the bits and pieces, but I have to say it's damned impressive, and I am verily muchley impressed.  G.T.'s nod smiley

neon blue? I saw Noble blue; it's very impressive though, does it make good bean-to-cup coffee like my Jura too?

Yeah, they call it Noble Blue, but there's nice little lights on it that light up a nice neon blue colour. I've been rather incapacitated of late, but I'm (hopefully) planning a trip into town tomorrow, so I'm going to try out it's camera capabilities. Unfortunately I haven't found the coffee making facility on it yet, and yes Gio, it does make phone calls (though I'd had it a couple of days before I thought to try that out  G.T.'s giggle smiley). Connected to the internet right out of the box too (the last couple of phones I've had I've had great difficulty with that), and though the WAP pages are on the teeny-weeny side, thanks to this 3G malarkey, it's pretty damned speedy at fetching them. According to my network provider I get 1MB of download included in my suscription, which apparently equates to approx 150 average WAP pages. Supports push email too, and RSS feeds, so I'm sure I'll have fun playing with that.  G.T.'s happy spin smiley

Well, this certainly doesn't make phone calls http://www.jura.com/home_x/products_home_use/c_line/impressa_c5.htm but put coffee beans in one end, press a button and you get espresso, latte or cappuchino at the strength and amount you want the other end. It also cleans itself automatically, tells you when beans or water need to be topped up and even switches itself off. (Gio would just hook himself up to it intravenously  G.T.'s wink smiley)

The Swiss know how to build more than cuckoo clocks. Next to my big fat German (Miele washing machine) it's my favourite kitchen object. The jury is still out on the Samsung american style fridge freezer though.
