....for broadband ISPs (again). My fw ISP (at 4.30pm on a Friday afternoon just before a bank holiday) have just announced a 50% price increase. The uproar at ADSLguide is unbelievable.

Not f***ing impressed to say the least. I'm now requesting a MAC code, just as soon as I can wade my way through all the tripe on their site and find out just where I'm supposed to request a MAC code from - and if they give me any of that bullshit I got from my last ISP about having to phone for a MAC code, I will not be responsible for my actions.  G.T.'s NFI (Not Fucking Impressed) smiley  Ecanus.net's no smiley

Hmmmm, I seem to remember I had Bulldog on the list of possibles last time round and crossed them off - can't remember why though. May have been the Pipex thing. Just looked on the compare thingy at adslguide and they're not coming back too good on the comparison.

Which one are you with Caz - still Zen? Any probs?

Still with Zen and there have been no problems, very smooth with knowledgeable people on the other end of phones if you need them.  G.T.'s nod smiley

Well, I requested my MAC on Friday evening, and it arrived yesterday morning - rather speedy for an ISP who's being inundated with people wanting out and over a weekend/bank holiday as well - makes you wonder if the speculation that the price rises were a ploy to ditch a load of customers becuase they hadn't got the capacity for them was indeed correct.

Anyway, I decided to go with Zen in the end - got all my account and activation details and such like ready for my migration date of 8th Jan less than 12 hours after signing up (which was late yesterday afternoon) - pretty impressive.  G.T.'s nod smiley
